BOOK 1 - The Orb Of truth

“What shall we do today?” she asked Kelli, as she ran her fingers through her short, sleek brown bob-style hair cut just above her shoulders.

“We could go for a walk along the path near the woods.”

“Yes, let’s do that!” Sally said enthusiastically.

through the dense, deep woods.

“You may go for a walk by the woods,” said Kelli’s grandma. “but you must promise me to stay away from the path that leads deep into the woods. There are dangers and mysterious creatures lurking in the deep woods.”

Little did she know she would soon break her promise. Unforeseen circumstances would force them to enter the darkest part of the woods. Their good intentions were not enough to keep them away from trouble and adventure.

BOOK 2 - Heart Of The forest

“Good morning sleepyhead! You’ve finally woken up,” Sally teased her friend in a playful tone. “I’ve just about finished reading my book while waiting for you to wake up.”

Kelli opened her eyes, letting in the morning light, and yawned, feeling her sleepiness fade away. Sitting up in bed, she ran her fingers through her hair, trying to tame the messy strands. Kelli stretched out her arms, feeling her muscles loosen up. She relaxed her hands on her lap and she asked, “So, what shall we do today?”

We can go for a walk along the stream by the side of the lake?”

Uncle John leaned forward with a twinkle in his eye. “Well, there are the water sprites that live in the stream. They lure unsuspecting swimmers into deeper waters.” He paused for effect. “Then there are the fairies that dance in the moonlight around the lake. They say they’ll grant wishes to those who catch them, but be careful what you wish for.” He chuckled. “And let’s not forget the elusive Loch Ness monster that roams these parts.”

Kelli’s eyes grew wide with excitement. “Wow, this place is full of magic!”

BOOK 3 - Flesky's Fairy Tales

Sally and Kelli woke bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for their day’s adventure in the Buchan Caves. A few days ago, the girls had come to Uncle John and Aunt Elizabeth’s log cabin in Buchan for a visit. They were looking forward to exploring the Buchan Caves.

Kelli and Sally exchanged eager glances as they stepped out of the car and ran towards the entrance. Uncle John and Aunt Elizabeth followed behind. The morning sun had broken through the clouds, and a cool, fresh breeze whistled through the trees.

As they went deeper into the cave, they felt warm damp air surround them. When the guide shut the door, darkness enveloped them. The blackness pressed in on Sally and Kelli from every side, as if it were alive. No matter how far they stretched their arms in front of them, there was nothing to be felt but the void.

Kelli stumbled over rocks and bumped her head several times, searching for Sally before they found each other. They embraced one another for support and comfort.

“What’s happened?” Sally asked. “Where is everyone? Why don’t they answer?”

“I don’t know,” Kelli said, fear laced her voice.
